Charity Donations Update

Sevun has recently added Save the Children Hong Kong to our monthly donation list. Save the children Hong Kong has been helping underprivileged children and their families in Hong Kong. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, they have so far distributed 5,000 bottles of hand sanitizers and more than 20,000 face masks.

Sevun is also a monthly donor for UNHRC since October 2015. When 3 year old Syrian boy Alan Kurdi’s body washed ashore on a beach in Turkey on September 2015, our hearts were broken and we hoped to contribute to help these refugees. Today the image of Alan Kurdi laying on that beach still brings tears to our eyes but we are happy to hear that the traffickers responsible for the drowning of little Alan, his brother and many more were sentenced to 125 years in jail. Nonetheless we will continue to support UNHRC for the important work they are doing around the world.

Sevun also donates monthly to Food Angel since September 2017. Food Angel is a Hong Kong charity that provides meals for underprivileged individuals and families. We believe that no one should go hungry in the world.

Besides these current monthly donations, Sevun also donated to UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders and ImpactHK. In the grand scheme of things, we know that our contribution is small, but we believe doing something is better than nothing at all. We also do not link the contribution to our sales because sales can be affected by many factors such as the current pandemic situation. We do not let bad times in retail affect our donation efforts, regardless of good or bad times, we will continue to help as much as we can.
